oil light on at tick-over. I have changed oil switch and oil and filter still comes on when hot. no knocks or noises though.

Put a real pressure gauge in the port that the oil pressure switch goes and see what the pressure really is. Could be right on the border of failure and when it gets hot you have problems.

I agree with Steve, in order to know what is really happening you must remove the pressure switch and adapt an oil pressure gauge to check the actual oil pressure when cold and hot to see where it is at. Also, make sure you are using the correct oil per the owners manual. the rating is very important to follow. Lou
