Not spark plugs but the coils. I took my truck to a mechanic twice and both times I got my truck back with either a new problem or the same problem. As of now I have two misfiring cylinders and my electronic engine circuit fuse is out. Any chance someone can help me or send me diagram photos on how to fix the coils. All spark plugs are brand new. Water pump and starter are brand new. I’ve taken my truck to this mechanic twice now. Both times I’ve gotten my truck back worse or just about the same when I got it back. I’ve dropped $1,400.00 on my truck to have it fixed and nothing has changed. I had auto zone plug their code reader into my truck and it came back as two misfiring cylinders or my EEC Fuse. Please help.

Hi,

As far as the coils are concerned, they are not hard to replace. You will need to remove the cover from the top of the engine to gain access. Each cylinder has its own coil, so make sure you replace the correct ones.

Additionally, make sure the spark plug wires are not damaged in any way.

If you look below, I attached the directions for replacement. Take a look through them and let me know if this helps or if you have questions.

Take care,

Joe
