The only way I can think to explain is using my Nissan pathfinder as an example. On my pathfinder, I can go into my settings and change my oil tracking from alerting that an oil change is due at 3000 miles, to either 5000 or 7500. This changes when the vehicle tells me I am due for the oil change.

Looking to see how to do that, if possible, on my husband's 2018 vw atlas. We found how to reset it after the oil change happens, but I want it to alert me every 5000 miles- not the 4000 that it is currently set to. Please assist.

Use the navigation buttons on your steering wheel or dashboard. You should be able to go into the "Maintenance" or "Oil Change" settings, then select "Oil" or "Oil Change" reminder. You should see different interval options, such as 3,000, 5,000, or 7,500 miles and choose the one you want. Here is how to reset the oil change light in case you need it. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.
