How much do you think it would cost in labor to have a engine replaced?

I need a new engine and trying to see what is a good reasonable price I should pay for a swap? Even if I’m providing the engine with all the parts. Basically a long block engine.

Hello,

It typically takes 9-12 hours for a long block replacement.
So, depending on what shop you take the labor rate would be different.
Also, the shop rate will vary depending on which state you are in as well.
If you plan to have a shop to do this job, I suggest you call at least three good local shops and get a quote. This way you will know you are getting a fair price.
