How many watts does the engine produce while idling? I was thinking of using my car as a generator since my frame is croaked, and it's storm season.

It produces dc amps not watts a alternator wouldn't make a good generator its ment to keep the battery charged not be used as a generator.

Its a 102 or 105 amp alternator.
