How many hours do shops get to swap the motor?

Blew my car up and I am considering buying a used motor from salvage yard and need to know how many hours the book gives the mechanic to swap the motors.

There's way too many variables to list just one labor time. Here's the listing from AllData. The "Warranty" times are for dealers only and don't apply to real life. If you're comparing estimates from two or more shops, the only variable should be their hourly labor rate. Be sure they're all going to include the same things when comparing prices. For example, one might include an oil and filter change. That could be an extra charge on a different estimate.
