how do you remove license plate bulb from the socket

we know how to remove the actual socket but do we need to break the bulb or change the entire assembly?

Looks like it takes a 168 peanut bulb. The assembly comes out and uses 1/4 turn locking to secure the socket to the lens. Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

Remove license plate lamp assembly a. Release the 2 claw fittings and disconnect the license plate lamp assembly b. Disconnect the connector and remove the license plate lamp assembly c. Pull the lamp straight out.

Electrical problem
2004 Toyota Sienna 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

i need to change 1 of the 2 license plate lights but don't see any entry.I'm assuming I might have to take off the whole interior panel of the lift door but I'n not sure and not sure how to do it???

The back door interior panels are held in with special clips. To disengage these clips you must first purchase a clip remover. Then simply disengage the clips to remove the panels. Then remove the back door pull strap and trim board assembly. Remove teh sub-assembly outside panel and then you can remove teh license plate lamp assembly. Do this by releasing the 2 claw fittings and disconnecting the license plate lamp assembly.
