You can access them through the trunk. Here are the directions for removal of the tail light assembly (very simple) and the bulbs. All attached pictures correlate with these directions.

TAIL LAMP ASSEMBLY AND /OR BACKUP, SIDE MARKER, STOP, TURN SIGNAL BULB REPLACEMENT
REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Open the rear compartment.
2. Remove the rear compartment convenience net from the plastic wingnuts, if equipped.
3. Remove the rear compartment sill plate.
4. Pull back the corner of the rear compartment trim to access the plastic wingnuts.
5. Apply light pressure to the tail lamp lens to retain the lamp in position during removal of the wingnuts.
6. Remove the wingnuts (1) from the tail lamp.
7. Remove the tail lamp assembly (3) from the rear body panel.
8. Disconnect the electrical connector (2) from the tail lamp.
9. Remove the necessary bulb/socket by turning counterclockwise.
10. Pull the necessary bulbs from the sockets, if replacing the bulbs.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Press the necessary bulbs into the sockets, if replacing the bulbs.
2. Install the bulb/socket to the tail lamp housing assembly. Rotate each socket clockwise to secure.
3. Position the tail lamp assembly (3) to the rear body panel.
4. Connect the electrical connector (2) to the tail lamp.
5. Apply light pressure to the lens of the tail lamp assembly to hold it in position during installation of the wingnuts.
6. Install the tail lamp assembly wingnuts (1) and hand tighten.
7. Position the corner of the rear compartment trim to its original position.
8. Install the rear compartment sill plate.
9. Install the rear compartment convenience net to the wingnuts, if equipped.
10. Close the rear compartment.
