Hood release cable detached from release mechanism

There is no cable connected to hood latch release under the hood. How can I get the latch to move, releasing the lock?

There are a couple of ways to do this, first you must try to get to the latch from under the car while using a long standard screw driver and work the latch or try going in through the grill. There is no manual that tells you how to do the job you must be creative.
