I recently cleaned out my intake to clear the old “Service Stabil Track” and “Traction Control” warnings, which went really well, thanks to 2CarPros. When I started her up, I got the “Hood Open” warning when the hood had been closed.
I couldn’t even take it out of park which freaked me out, so I replaced the Hood Latch assembly and I’m still getting the Hood Open warning and with a little elbow grease I got it out of park and able to drive but it’s still a “sticky” situation that I’m sure has nothing to do with the warning.
Should I apply a Relearn to clear the warning or do I begin the daunting task of tracing the hood latch black-purple-yellow wires for a short?

Hi,

This is an odd one. I suspect that when you were doing work, something was disconnected.

Since the latch is new, we need to check for signals to and from the switch and confirm there is power to it.

I attached the diagnostics below for testing. I also included the diagnostics for checking the physical switch. I realize it's new, but wanted to add them for you just in case.

Let me know what you find,

Joe

Found it today it was a blown fuse. She ran TipTop to get smokes and she got me a spot tearing out the store. This car is running and acting like a new car.
Everything is well as I pass it by.
I Truly appreciate all of your 5-Star knowledge, repair guides and advice. I almost feel guilty for free.
