I returned from vacation to find the battery dead on my car. I jumped started it, and after that, the car started acting strangely. Firstly, the car no longer "beeps" when I lock or unlock it from the remote. In addition, the hazard lights blink every so often - usually when I'm driving, sometimes every ten seconds or so, they'll blink three times then stop (people have offered me help, assuming I was in some sort of trouble!). Also, the windows don't roll up anymore when I lock with the remote, as they used to.

My wife said she had this problem in the past, and she thinks that the computer had to be reset. Is there any way I can do this myself (I'm a "do-it-yourself kind of guy, so I have no qualms getting my hands dirty if need be).

Most modern vehicles have to be plugged into a computer using diagnostic software to reset the different computer modules i'm afraid. I cannot find a manual on my system for the Honda STREAM so cannot look at the wiring diagrams/fuses etc.. Does the vehicle have another model name ie. Accord/Civic/Pilot. Or could you supply the VIN number?

The VIN # tells me the car was manufactured in japan. Therefore I have no maual for a description of the alarm/keyless entry setup i'm afraid. I have looked at american made honda vehicles and none of them seam to have the same setup. I'm sorry but the only advise I can supply is to contact a honda dealer and ask them the reset procedure.
