Two questions, the power antenna makes a horrible noise. It does not go all the way down, and it makes a noise as it goes up (during the last few inches) Also, air does not flow through the drivers side door vent. No obstructions, as it blows fine when the door is open. Any ideas?

The antenae needs to be replaced. The air flow improves with the door open? Sounds more like a air return problem.

That is the defrost for the side window. If that is layed out as I remember, it is two opening that align and join as the door is closed. Now there is really should be nothing in the door to cause the flow to be restricted. I wonder how much pressure the door closing puts on the vent on the dash when it is closed. Can you try to simulate the door closing and putting varying amounts of pressure on the vent to see what it does? I suspect that is closes off with the pressure from the door.
