Hissing and Smoking under the Hood!

Tonite I was on the way home from class and smoke appeared from the hood. I was near home and able to park and lift the hood. This is what I observed:

steamlike smoke coming from the car.
water and condensation on the inner hood.
a hissing sound coming from the tube area above the condenser.
unable to see where, but it appears something is loose.

Did any lights come on on the dash board?

IS your coolant (anti-freeze) low?

IF coolant is okay and no lights had come on, start the car and turn on your air conditioning, does it work? (Assuming it worked before).
