Car won't crank

I have a 1993 Honda Prelude 1.8 engine, 150,000 miles, recently after driving the car I noticed that the brake lights remained on after I exited the vehicle. After looking on the floor board, I noticed several pieces of broken plastic, which appear to have come from the brake pedal sensor, which caused the switch to remain open. I immediately tried to start the car and it wouldn't turn over. The battery has plenty of power, everything lites up. But starter doesn't activate. The car is a 5-speed.I've checked the clutch fluid and fuses. Any Ideas. No problems prior to the brake lights staying on. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

Replace the broken part and let us know. I think that will do it. Make sure that the clutch neutral switch is not affected as well. It will not start if that is broken too.
