I am not sure what the problem is. I stopped at the stop light and then took the 'lude out of gear. I noticed a different feeling. It felt REALLY loose. I attempted to stick it in first. But when I tried to drive off on the green light, I had to ride the clutch in order for the car to go. It felt like the car was in 2nd or 3rd when I was able to put the shifter in 1st-gear position. While in motion, I still could not drop it in 1st gear.

There is no grinding or any sound out of the ordinary. I have reverse & 2nd/3rd. I just dont have 1st gear. I havent gone on the freeway. So I don't know if I have 4th or 5th either.

I replaced the clutch in January. So I don't think it's that. Wut could it be? Pressure plate? Throw-out bearing? Linkage? Never had this happened to me before. Thanks!

Hi ther

Your description is a bit confusing so I am just making a calculated guess.

Do you mean to say that the gear shift seems very loose? If yes, then most probably the shift cables have given way or some tightening point have become undone.
