2001 Honda Prelude exhaust manifold

hi i just bought a 2001 honda prelude and the exhaust manifold has been removed and replaced with headers i was wondering what happens to the oxygen sensor when this is done for example is it put somewhere else and what effects this will have on the cars performance?thank you for your time

Hi there,

The O2 sensor can go anywhere up stream of the cat converter, when a down stream )2 sensor is fitted as well this is only for diagnostics purposes. The headers will give a small increase in power and engine response as the exhaust gas flows is a lot smoother and volumetric effeminacy is improved.
