What do you mean by genuine struts? All struts purchased from a reputable dealer are "genuine." If you mean from Honda dealer expect to pay 40% more than from say a NAPA dealer. Be aware of parts made in China as many are sunstandard.

The problem isn't the price of the struts but the special equipment needed to replace them. One could be killed from impropper tools used to compress the springs.

STAY AWAY FROM TIRE AND MUFFLER SHOPS AS THEY WILL FIND A SOFT PLACE AND REALLY STICK IT TOO YOU.

Good Luck Losone

By genuine I mean the brand/type that you would find originally on a prelude, I had to have mine replaced last year and paid about $500 for it. The car rides rough and noises come from the rear struts, I've been told that the struts are too stiff for the original springs and I need to have original struts put on.
