My 1999/2000 Prelude VTi auto is on o.e. 17 inch wheels fitted with 205 width tyres. The instruction book was printed in 1997 and only refers to the earlier Preludes (o.e. 16" wheels) so is no help.

Various sources specifiy 205, 215 and 225 tyres for the 17" wheels - I'm confused!

What size tyre should my car have?

What make of tyre will give the lowest level of road noise?

There are so many choices in tyres these day it makes choosing them a nightmare, it really boils down to personal choice, but for an experts opinion i would head off to a reputable tyre dealer and ask there advice, i don't advise on tyres at my business anymore, because the options are changing nearly every day, the tyre company's will push there own brand, so try an independent, first and don't go to just one, the more opinions you get the better your final choice will be.
