1999 Honda Prelude options

Transmission problem
1999 Honda Prelude 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive 145000 miles

Can other tansmissions fit a 99 prelude such as a 4th gen or an accord if so which kinds. I've heard certain accord tranny's perfomance wise are better. Thank you. Jesse ßtefan

Problem is the management system for the engine trans, isnt the same.The Accord trannies werent so much better, I would guess that it would be more related to the v-tech engine that was in the Prelude having significantly more power, which Honda automatics seem to be allergic to.Best bet would be to stick with what it came with.
