Sometimes cannot get it in gear and changing gear is very rough. Slight whining noise when changing gear, especially changing down. I am thinking of replacing the clutch (original one still on car).... but do not want to waste money if it is the gearbox..... any ideas? Thanks

Hi ericjack,

Honda manual transmissions are quite reliable and I would suspect the clutch to be the culprit of difficult shifting.

Transmission would produce abnormal noise when in motion, not when shifting only.
