1996 Honda Prelude 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual

One of my friends is selling his 96 honda prelude si but he said he shorted out a wire.. he said he delt with a harness he also said the motor won't turn on. I wanted to know what harness do you think it could be if it is a harness.

Hi jpagan87,

There are so many harnesses in the vehicle and without diagnostic tests, it would be impossible to say what it is.

well i made mistake it was a 93 prelude si
he said " a wire shorted out in the dash harness and it does not get any spark so it does not run"

" it has a new distributor,alternator,starter,ecu,fuel pump" but thank you. i know you cant do alot unless you tes it but im sure you could rule out some harnesses...

If it is not sparking, then it could possibly be the engine harness to the PCM.

You should start by diagnosing for no spark condition.
