1996 Honda Prelude do i need a new compressor

My A/C really dont work. when i start my car up, a/c works for about a minute then it doesnt work after that. i put freon in it and that didnt fix the problem. did the compressor go out or another part of the a/c system go out?

Hi bugeyedbooger,

You would need to perform test to determine what causing the AC not to work.

When the AC is not cold, is the compressor working?
If not, is there voltage to the compressor ?
Are the cooling fans working?
