1995 Honda Prelude Ignition switch or coil ignition?

i have a 95 prelude my car starts but then turn off if i let the key go from the ignition to acc. if i hold the key on the ignition the car will stay on. i know its not the starter cause i hear it crank when i step on the clutch whats can this be?
