I had a custom exhaust put on and it sounded great for the first month. Now 3 months later the exhaust is no longer deep and is extremely weak sounding. Before I could rev to 4000 rpm and it would scream now it barely growls... could an exhaust leak cause this? Only work I've had done on the car since the exhaust install in a new clutch and flywheel.

Hi there,

Thank you for the donation.

I would be going back to the exhaust installer and have them check it out. A leak would not worry it to much, unless it was massive, and that you would hear, A baffle may have collapsed in the muffler choking it off and restricting the gas flow, That is what a muffler is doing, cooling and slowing down the gas flow, have that checked out
