My honda prelude 1992, speedometer seems to have its moments. Sometimes it would drive and show the right speed and sometimes it would cut off and wait for the 4WS light to turn on till the speedometer starts working again. I dont know why this is the case, can you please help me. Thanks

Hi Prelude_87, Does the D4 ( or S mode) light blinks when it is not working? Did you try to retrieve for trouble codes?

Use a jumper wire to connect the SCS connector and count the flashing of the 4WS light to get the trouble code. The D4 and Check Engine light would flash if there are any problems with their system.
