cruise control light switches on on the dashboard, I have checked the cable from the accelerator pedal to the vaccum control(looks all good). Once turned on does not hold car at any speed. Whats the next thing to check and how can you diagnose problems without test driving it?

Hi philip.haynes1,

Cruise controls fault requires test driving to determine if the fault had been rectified.

The most common fault is an out of adjustment or bad brake switch or its stopper at the pedal. Check the free travel clearance between the pedal and brake switch.
