1992 Honda Prelude car starts but turns off

the car starts but when the key goes back to the on postion it turns the car off. when i turn the key just to on postion there are no lights on the dash board. i can keep the car running but i have to keep pushing the key forward and it grinds the starter the hole time.

Hi redriderman,

The ignition switch is faulty and replacement is necessary to rectify.
