HI-

My 92 prelude omits blue smoke when I give it a lot of gas. The check engine light is also on. I know sometimes the check engine light is due to a vac leak but could this also cause the motor to burn oil or is it a bigger problem like rings. I have not done a compression test yet.

Hi there,

You should do a compression test as the oil burning will more than likely be due to worn rings.
