Brakes will not release. Have changed pads, rotors, calipers, and master cylinder and they still will grab and not fully release. Have bled lines, but could there still be air in them? Is there a sensor that may be bad?

Thanks in advance!

Hi dgrohne,

If equipped with ABS, then it could be the master pump that is faulty.

If only 1 wheel is locking, replace the flexible hose, it can go bad and prevent pressure from releasing.

When brakes locks, does releasing the bleeder bolt releases the pressure? Do it wheel by wheel.

When the master cylinder was changed, it was not adjusted properly.

Problem found and fixed by a 16 yr old student at a high school auto mechanics shop.
