1989 Honda Prelude altenator

1989 Honda Prelude 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

We have replaced the altenator to include battery, and now my battery and altenator have read bad by testing them at Advanse Auto with there portable tester. Could it be a an internal wiring problem?

Need to start by checking fuses 1st and check for battery power at the rear of the alternator
big wire should have battery power


Also I have seen few bad reman alternators
