Hi sheeny71,
There is only 1 fuel filter and it is in the engine compartment. In the fuel tank attached to the fuel pump is a strainer if you call that a filter.

Dear sheeny71, There are two filters on the 89 prelude depending on what model you have I was once an owner of a 89 Prelude S with the a dual side draft carburated engine. This particular model had two filters, one inside the engine compartment on the firewall and the secondary filter is located on the passenger side rear wheel well. The tire has to be removed and then is able to be located. It is plastic and should be able to be purchased at any auto parts major retailer. Hope this helps you out or any body concerning this matter.

Hi chimchim11101,
Thank you for the input. I was going for an injected model and failed to ask if it is a carburetted model.
You are correct for a carburetted model, but the front filter is not really a filter. It is more of a pulsation damper.
