Hi prelude18,

To explain the process of replacing the water pump is not easy and I would suggest you get a repair manual if you are really interested in DIY.

Thanx for your response i have the 88-91 B20A-6 engine maintenance and repair manual however it has nothing in it about the water pump

Hi prelude18, To replace the water pump, you need to remove the pulley and belts. Loosen timing belt cover and the water pump can be taken out after the retaining bolts are removed.
