1987 Honda Prelude Main Fuel relay and Engine Distributor

engine quit when i tried to restart it the first time i could not hear the relay, replaced the main fuel relay and now i am told the distributor needs to be replaced are there any after market distributors that by-pass the ignitor. Distributor prices are crazy through the roof 100.00 to 600.00 what do you suggest.

What you need to do is to establish what's causing it -whether its fuel or spark problem -Do below

Find out which system is failing by checking for spark and then for fuel pressure at the fuel rail
