In the owners manual is says only use honda transmission fluid. I have Valvoline max life DEX/MERC for transmissions over 75K. It says is is recommended for most Honda. The auto parts store says it is ok. Will the recall on the Transmission I don't want to take any chance. Should I use it?

I would use only Honda trans. fluid because Honda have special additives for their trans.
