Took car in for an oil change, next day the car starting stalling ABRUPTLY. Had to keep engine revving to keep it alive. Took it in to garage and pulled the dipstick to find the oil level was well below the minimum -- hardly any oil on the stick and this was with a hot engine. Ends up there were a bunch of sensors that had gone bad -- crankshaft, cam (i think), and another. My question is could the low oil level cause these sensors to blow, which in turn would have caused a chain reaction leading to the seizing up and stalling of the engine? Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

THanks,

JF

It could be they drain the battery or the battery was low on charge and tried to start the engine. Clear the codes and let the engine idle for 15 minutes and see if the MIL comes back on.
