1995 Honda Passport need help with reverse problem

Noises problem
1995 Honda Passport 6 cyl All Wheel Drive Automatic

ok well for some reason everytime i reverse theres a loud grinding coming from the rear.i jack up the rear back and rotate the tires forward it was rine.but when you rotate it backward like reversing its grinding and it gets stuck.seems like the rim is grinding n getting stuck on the calipers.these are just the stock original rim.can anyone tell me what this problem is before i spent money on the wrong things.

Is vehicle equipped with rear disc or drum brakes?

it has rear disc brake not drums

When the rear brake pads are almost worn out, the wear indiactor would brush against the rotor. When moving forward, the noise would be minimal. When reversing, the indicartor would eminate a whining or grinding noise. Check the brake pads wear condition.
