hello,

i have a 1993 acura integra with a 1.6l dohc engine. i just replaced the thermostat and when i took it for a drive i noticed the heater only worked when i was accelerating , the temp gauge read in a normal range. i checked the upper rad hose and noticed it was very hot but the lower hose was still cool.

is it possible i have an air lock situation ? what can i do to fix this? thanks for the help.

Being a Honda it might have a manual heater control valve that is only opening a little bit, but more pressure is more flow

hi, i have an 86 honda civic and when i got my radiater fixed the guyes told me i wound have to bleed the air out of the system. to do this there should be a bleeder valve on or near the top hose. with the car running you slowly open the valve and whatch the water coming out when you have a continulous streem of water you tighten up again. hope this helps, :)
