Just reinstalled the instrument cluster after conversion from US to metric. Air bag light immediately came on, and will not turn off. Is this normal after removal/reinstallation of the cluster? If so, how is the air bag system reset so that the warning light goes out?

If you had removed the steering wheel, improper installation would cause the clock reel to be damaged and the resetting is not going to work.

If nothing had been damaged and the ignition key was turned to ON when the air bag or any other SRS component was disconnected, the warning indicator would be triggered and the resetting should solve the problem.
