The spindle that opens and closes the rear ventilator window is broken on my 2004-Odyssey. This is the exterior plastic part that connects the motor to the window and opens/closes the v entilator when the motor operates.

I have enquired about replacing this part but I am told that the entire assembly needs to be replaced.
Is this true? If not is there a place I can purchase just the part

I am not aware of any place that sells that part individually. It comes as an entire assembly from Honda.
