Now when you shift into D, it takes very little effort to change gears. You can go from park to low in a flash. If you stop at each gear, the gear is selected. No slipping. Is this signs of an impending failure or just an annoyance of now a lower resistance changing gears?

Hi buck1195,

When gears are selected, they would be engaged with minimal pressure, slight resistance felt.
If the idling speed is high, it would try to force the vehicle to move.
