My left taillight socket was broken so I replaced it. Now neither the taillight nor turn signal work. Don't know what else to do, please help.

Hi dude. Can I assume the right side is still working properly? Start by checking on the terminals inside the socket for voltage when the tail lights are turned on. You can use either a test light or a cheap digital voltmeter. If no voltage is found, recheck your wiring and splices. If you do find around 12 volts, check the ground wire. With the tail light bulb installed, check for voltage on the ground for the socket. If there is voltage there, the ground wire is broken or wired incorrectly. If the ground is the problem, and you're testing with a test light, both the tail light bulb and the test light will each light up half brightness.
