I would like to replace 2 mounts on our 2000 Odyssey, the front near the radiator, and the right side near the timing belt. If I remove one mount at a time and replace with the new one, will the engine shift on me during the repair? If so, how do I support the engine if I do not have a hoist? Thanks for the help, Chris

Hi Chris,

Thank you for the donation.

The prirority in this case is the mount neat the timing belt, replace and secure it first. The mount near the radiator can be removed first but must be secured last for proper adjustment. The engine would definitely sag once the mounts are removed so you need to lift it slightly higher for ease of removal.

Use the car jack with a small piece or wood or plank and use it to support the oil sump as near the edges as possible.
