2000 Honda Odyssey Cruise Control Intermittent, Then Quit

My cruise control was intermittent (green light going on and off) but then green light won't come on at all, when you press dash button and doesn't work at all. Any troubleshooting hints?

Check the brake pedal switch for excessive free play or worn rubber stopper.
