Can the igniter in a Honda odyssey be replaced without replacing the whole distributor?

Yes, but are you sure it is the ignitor and not the ignition coil? Test the coil promary and secondary resistance first. Also check if power is getting to the distributor Black/Yellow wire with ignition switch ON
