1996 Honda Odyssey
----------------------------------------------------------------
I live in Okinawa, Japan and just recently bought a Honda Odyssey. On the dash is a button that says "A Pole" and when pressed a small green antenna raises from the left side of the front bumper. What is this for? The manual that is in the vehicle is, of course, in Japanese so I can't even look it up to figure out what this does. As far as I can tell it is not a radio antenna since that is on the right side of the vehicle just foward and above the door.

Any ideas?

That is known as a parking pole. It gives you a better gauge of the front bumper while parking.
