Drive Train Axles Bearings problem
1996 Honda Odyssey Four Wheel Drive Automatic 85000 miles

I live in Yokosuka Japan and recently bought a Japanese model Honda Odyssey with 4wd. At parking lot speeds there is a groan from the rear of the vehicle. It happens turning left or right and going forward or reverse. There don't appear to be any issues with the brakes or hubs. Is there something in the rear diff that could cause this?

Hi kristoph42,

You are correct about the rear differential causing the problem.

Get the differential fluids replaced and retest. It should go away. The correct fluid MUST be used otherwise it is not going to work.
