Engine Performance problem
2007 Honda Jazz Front Wheel Drive Automatic

I AM USING THE NGK IRIDIUM SPARK PLUGS.

SPARK PLUG RETAIL SHOP ADVISES IRIDIUM PLUGS CAN LAST FOR 60,000KM.

MY CAR METER INDICATES 103,000KM AFTER THE LAST CHANGE AT 60,000KM.

FOR YOUR PROFESSIONAL ADVICE PLS.

REGARDS

Hi MOGANA CHANDRAN,

Iridium plugs can last up to 100k km but it does not mean that it would not fail before that.

Engine conditions such as oil consumption can cause plugs to deteriorate prematurely. For jerkings, you need to check if it is due to the plugs or others such as coils etc.

It could be the trans or injectors. Check for oil in plug tubes.
