Battery was DEAD. Replaced it and now the cruise control does not work. Is there a way to reset the cruise control?

Hi Scholtzy,

Thank you for the donation.

The cruise control system does not require any resetting after replacement of batteries.

Is the master switch indicator light indicating when it is turned on?

Check the fuses, # 4 and # 7 in underhood fuse box.
Check brake pedal switch. Excessive clearance would not allow the brake switch to close the cruise control circuit.

Here are the testing procedures for the main switch.

CRUISE CONTROL MAIN SWITCH TEST/REPLACEMENT

1. Release the clips of the switch and push the switch (A) out of the panel, then disconnect the 5P connector (B) from the main switch.

2. Check for continuity between the terminals in each switch position according to the table. If there is no continuity, replace illumination bulbs (A) or the switch.
