What is wrong when Maintenance Required light stays lit? Water temp OK, oil filled properly. Why is it staying lit?

Question: What does the light mean...don't just say it is the computer....I would like a general explanation of what the light ON covers in scope.

Hello,

This means there is a code stored in the computer that needs to be retrieved and repaired here is a guide to help you see how to get the codes.
