I changed my air filter and afterwards my engine was idleing way to high. when I start the vehicle the engine sounds as if I am pressing and releasing the gas. When i slow down the car jerks I guess sort of what a clogged gas line would feel like. I checked all the vaccum cables. They're connected. I assume it is my Air intake sensor or a maf sensor. (not sure what it is called) Does this sound correct and what is the aproximate price of the sensor?

Hi Daniel422,

Problem seems to be a dislodged vacumn hose causing vacumn leakages and this would increase the idling speed causing surging. Check vacumn hoses for correct connection.

Could be a faulty PCV.

Intake Air Temperature seldom goes bad and if it is not plugged in or bad, it would be difficult to start vehicle at times.
